Top popsters Liberty X will be making a special appearance at this year’s Youth Day at the NEC Show on November 21.

Organiser Anna Rogers says getting the band was a real scoop because they are so popular.

She said: ” Liberty X are huge with kids and their appearance at Youth Day will definitely boost the event.

” We wanted to book a band that would appeal to the Youth Day audience and Liberty X have been sailing high in the charts all summer. ”

Youth Day 2002 is being organised by the Motorcycle Industy Associaion (MCI) to give teenagers an insight into careers in motorcycling.

MCI is organising the event in conjunction with charity UK Youth, which runs motoring education projects throughout the country, and schools around the country have been invited.

MCI will also be giving an award on the day to a young person who has made a significant achievement in the field of motorcycling in the last 12 months. Liberty X will announce the winner and also be available for autographs and photographs.

Tickets for Youth Day 2002 cost £6 per pupil and guardians go free. For more information, bookings and to nominate a pupil for The Outstanding Achievement Award call Jenny Luckman on 0870 330 7806.
