AUSTRALIA There were red-faces at the unveiling of Victoria’s Arrive Alive! Road safety strategy. The picture on the front of the draft was of two bikers riding on the wrong side of the road! No one had noticed the picture had been flipped during design.

AMERICA A Harley mechanic has been chosen by NASA for a study on sleep. Ross Ross will spend 30 days in bed tilted head-down at a 6 degree angle to simulate the effects of prolonged weightlessness.

JAPAN A new museum has opened in Tokyo dedicated to brake pads. According to manager Hideo Seki it is not as boring as you may think. He reckons that " without brakes the world would simply be a crazy mess. "
