Jones kicks stunt butt in Europe

No this photo isn’t taken seconds before a huge crash, this is the trick that clinched the European Stunt Riding Championship for UK rider Craig Jones.

At the end of the event, held in Bechyne in the Czech Republic in front of 25,000 fans, Jones and World Stunt Riding Champion Kevin Carmichael were tied on points so the judges decided on a three minute stunt shoot out.

Jones, and his stunt partner Wing Chui, performed this trick on their Buell Lightning which secured them the title. ” I have never won a championship before so I am absolutely thrilled, ” said Jones, ” I sprained my wrist the week before the event and was on painkillers while I was riding so I didn’t expect to do so well. ” He beat 63 other riders from all over the world to the title.
