R1 "jacked" in London

Police are appealing for witnesses after a rider had his Yamaha R1 ” jacked ” in North London.

The rider was on the A41 Finchley Road, NW2 on July 24 when two other R1s, both black and silver 2002 models, one with a pillion and one solo, pulled up alongside and began gesturing for him to pull over.

At the kerbside they wrenched the keys from him and the pillion pushed the victim to the ground before stealing his bike.

The stolen machine is a red/white Yamaha R1 registration number Y439 MWL. While two of the suspects wore bomber jackets, one of them was wearing a grey tracksuit top. If you saw anything call Colindale CID on 020-8733-4595.
