Speeding let off for Prince

1 of 1

Prince Andrew was stopped for driving his Land Rover at 60mph in a 40mph limit, The Sun newspaper reports.

He was stopped by a radar trap on Heathrow Road, near Heathrow Airport, as he rushed to catch a flight to Scotland to watch The Open golf championship in Scotland. A fellow motorist, caught by the same speed trap, claimed that the Prince told PC Tom Hinckley ” I’m in a hurry ” , and refused to get out of his car. He was allowed to drive off after his bodyguard spoke with the officer, and Scotland Yard confirmed no further action will be taken against Andrew.

A spokesman said: ” Not everyone stopped for speeding is prosecuted. ”
