National survey to promote biking

1 of 1

Here’s your chance to help the government understand how bikes aid traffic congestion and the environment.

The national survey is the work of Alan Tilly, the author of the ‘Sandwell Strategy for Powered Two Wheelers’, and PhD student at the University of Southampton Transport Research Group. Tilly hopes he can show the government when motorcycles are most suitable for journeys, and how to encourage people to switch to two wheels. This could lead to the government actively promoting bikes as the answer to many traffic problems.

An online version of the survey is at www.motorcyclesurvey.org and it is also available as a downloadable PDF file. If you would like copies to distribute yourself, with attached prepaid envelopes, then send your address to alan@tilly77.freeserve.co.uk.
