Ducati has cut up to £1000 from the price of its discontinued 2002 bikes to make room for new models.

The 900SS, replaced by the new 1000SS for 2003, drops from £7000 to £6000, while the 750SS goes from £6000 to £5000. The 750SS has been superseded by the 800SS. The Monster 750, which is replaced by an 800CC version for this year, now costs £5300, down from £6000, while the budget Monster 750 Dark drops from £5700 to £5000.

Ducati spokesman Peter Brooking said: ” There aren’t a huge number of the bikes left. With these new prices they should go fast. ”

Aprilia and Suzuki have also announced their 2003 price lists. For more information, read Motor Cycle News, January 29. To comment on this story, follow the link on the right to post a message on the News board.
