The first Ducati Monster S4R has been completed and it’s been presented to Ducati MotoGP rider Loris Capirossi.

The new S4R is the highest spec bike in the Monster range, with a 113bhp 996 motor, and café racer styling. Ducati President and CEO, Federico Minoli personally presented the bike as it rolled off the production line in the Ducati factory. Capirossi was given the bike after in recognition of his achievements in the IRTA MotoGP tests, and to welcome him into the Ducati fold. Capirossi rode the Ducati Desmodici race bike as it became the fastest recorded GP bike in history at 204mph.

The Monster S4R will be available from dealers at the end of April, and will cost £8250.

There’s a full 16-page MotoGP preview free with MCN on Wednesday April 2.
