Quality of news coverage is vital to the success of MCN. So this role – managing a team of four scoop-hungry hacks – is vital to boosting the coverage of one of Emap’s biggest titles.

News is what makes MCN tick and the ideal candidate will have vision of how MCN’s news coverage can evolve, great contacts, brilliant people-management skills and the experience to make it all happen to tight deadlines.

You’ll need to have loads of experience on a fast-paced consumer title, be bursting with fresh ideas and have a decent – but not necessarily encyclopedic knowledge of motorcycles. Though understanding who our readers are and what makes them tick is key to this senior role.
