Congestion charging – the untold story

A year after the congestion charge came in for central London one story you won’t have heard is how much safer it has made the streets for motorcycles.

Despite a 20 per cent increase in bike traffic in the city there has been a 15 per cent fall in bike casualties.

And bike sales are up 20 per cent in London, too. And all this while the speed of traffic in central London has risen by 15 per cent!

MCN is now calling on the Government to recognise the positive impact of more bikes on city traffic.
