Blade is most talked about bike

1 of 1

Honda’s 2000-2001 FireBlade has finished 2003 as the most talked-about bike on motorcyclenews.com with a staggering 12,500 postings about it on its dedicated Discussion board.

Our Discussion & Chat section (see top navigation bar) has a massive bikes section broken down by manufacturer, model and derivative. Each gives you a great opportunity to discuss fixes and faults, tuning tips, tyres, suspension and much more with fellow owners.

To celebrate the Blade’s success we’re carrying out a special one-off road test to feature in MCN. And you can be part of it. We’re looking for one owner of a 2000-2001 Blade. All you have to do is bring your bike to us to act as the star of our feature. You’ll meet our road test team, too. And we’ll cover your expenses for the day. All we ask is that your bike is in great condition and is as close to standard as possible. To put your bike in the spotlight e-mail matt.wildee@emap.com with your full daytime contact details.

The Blade ended the year around 1000 postings ahead of its nearest rival, the 2000-2001 Kawasaki ZX-6R. That had a total of 11,500 postings. The third and final bike on the podium was the biggest surprise – Ducati’s 748. It has notched up 8600 postings despite its relatively small sales.

Other bikes in our top 10 include, Honda’s FireStorm, Yamaha’s Thundercat, R1 and R6 Kawasaki’s ZX-12R and ZX-7R and Suzuki’s GSX-R600.
