Dirt Rider Expo begins

The Dirt Rider Expo begins today with some exciting new launches taking place. The show runs from November 25-28 at Stoneleigh Park.

Honda has given a UK debut to the new CRF450X, described as the world’s lightest and most powerul off-road bike in its class. Suzuki’s all-new 2005 production RM-Z450 is on display. Yamaha is showing the new slim-line WR 250F and WR450F enduro bikes, and the new Cota 4RT four-stroke trials bike from Montessa is on display. There’s also the new Sherco 250cc four-stroke engine, and Sherco 80cc kid’s trials bike

In addition clothing and accessory firms are showing their 2005 ranges, including the new Tech-10 boot from Alpinestars, and Bills Pipes, as used by factory Suzuki rider Travis Pastrana, will be available. In addition one of the British hopefuls for the Paris-Dakar Rally, Darren Dewsbury, is exhibiting the Yamaha YZ450-F 2-TRAC two-wheel drive bike.

The show is bigger than ever before with 13,000 square metres devoted to off-road riding. There are end-of-season bargains from the off-road retailers, interviews with off-road stars and live entertainment including Stunt Riding World Champion Christian Pfeiffer, and stunt riders Odair Salmazo and Zoltan Angyal, plus the Animal MTB stunt show.

Stoneleight Park (NAC) is located minutes away from Coventry, Birmingham, and Warwick. Opening times are 9:30-5:30 Thursday-Saturday and 9:00-5:00 on Sunday. Adults tickets cost £13.50, children are £7.50, and under five’s go free, but you can get a £1 discount per ticket by pre-booking and the price includes a show guide.
