The final group of awards recognise the amazing advances in the bikes we ride and the achievements of the manufacutrers that make them.

The MCN Manufacturer of the year award recognises the manufacturer who shows an outstanding recod of all round excelence – from brilliant products to expansion in to new market sectors and includes nominations for Honda, Triumph, BMW and KTM.

The winner has offered an exciting range of bikes this year with real innovations increasing sales by almost a third – even gaining the royal seal of approval from HRH Prince william.

The winner of the MCN Manufacturer of the year award is Triumph

The Nominations for Best Sports Tourer of the Year were the Honda VFR800i, Suzuki SV1000S, Yamaha FJR1300 and Kawasaki ZX-12R.

The winner is equally at home covering loads of miles as it is scrapping around the twisty bits. And it’s blisteringly fast.

The winner of the Best Sports Tourer of the Year award is the Kawasaki ZX-12R.

The Shortlist for the best all-rounder included the Ducati Multistrada, Kawasaki Z750, Honda CBF600 and Yamaha FZ6 Fazer.

The winner offers mass appeal and deos just about everything brilliantly with great performance.

For the second year in a row the winner of the best all-rounder award goes to the Yamaha FZ6 Fazer.

Every one of the nominations for the most powerful sportsibikes offers performance unheard of even a few years ago. The list includes the Honda Fireblade, MV Agusta F4 1000, Suzuki GSX-R750, Yamaha YZF-R1 and the Kawasaki ZX-10R

The winner of the sportsbike award is the Yamaha YZF-R1

There are just three names on the shortlist for best trailie, trail-style or off-road, but one is a dirt bike, one is a supermoto and the other handles Tarmac and dirt roads equally well. They are the BMW R1200GS, Yamah XT660X and Honda CRF250.

The winner of the best trailie, trail-style or off-road bike is the BMW R1200GS

The tourer of the year shotlist comprises of the Honda STX1300 Pan European, BMW K1200LT and Honda NT650 Deauville.

The winner of the tourer of the year is the BMW K1200LT.

The nominations for the cruiser of the year are: Kawasaki VN2000, Triumph Rocket III, Harley-Davidson Softail Springer Classic.

The winner of cruiser of the year is the Triumph Tocket III

One of the most tightly contested classes is the Sports Bikes under 601cc division, with a list including the Honda CBR600RR, Yamaha YZF-R6, Suzuki GSX-R600, Honda CBR125. The CBR125 gets a highly commended.

The winner of the sports bike under 601cc title is the Honda CBR600RR

The climax of the awards is the prestigious overall MCN Machine of the Year.

The nominees are: Yamaha FZ6 Fazer, BMW R1200GS, Kawasaki ZX-12R, Honda CBR600RR, Triumph Rocket III, SUzuki GSX-R750, BMW K1200LT and the Yamaha YZF-R1.
