Winners ride the Ring

Two Brits are among 30 world-wide winners of a competition to ride the Nurburgring on BMW’s new K1200S.

The circuit is closed to the public for the occasion – on September 6 and 7..

Winners Barrie Cooper, 45, and James Bridge, 29, took part in an online competition to claim their all-expenses paid trip.

Cooper, who owns an R1150GS, said: “The Nürburgring is extremely challenging due to its length, the variety of corners and of course, the legend surrounding it, so I’m really looking forward to it.”

Bridge, who rides an R1, added: “I’m hoping the bike will be as fast as it looks. On paper the K1200 S looks like it could be exactly the kind of bike I would like to own.”
