You help save lives

Charity blood-runners Service by Emergency Volunteers (SERV) have contacted us with the news that over 90 people have registered their interest in joining the group after they were mentioned on this site and in Motor Cycle News.

The group provide a courier service, transferring vital blood between hospitals across the country. All bikes, equipment and petrol have, up till now, been provided by the volunteers themselves.

But all that has changed thanks to the support of Honda, P and H Motorcycles, and Devitt DA insurance. Honda has provided a new Honda Deauville at a saving of 33 per cent, with the remaining cost covered by P and H Motorcycles. And insurance for all the advanced trained volunteers to ride the now liveried machine, would have cost £2200, but insurance firm Devitt DA will be covering the bike and riders for free for the next year.

And SERV were futher supported at the Brands Hatch round of the World Superbike championship. Circuit owner Jonathan Palmer donated stand space, and race fans donated over £1500 into the SERV collection buckets.
