Xmas hits our riding time

Christmas cuts into too much valuable riding time for most motorcyclists – according to a new survey by bike insurance company Bennetts.

Nearly two-thirds of us will roll our bikes out of the garage over the festive period and while 44% per cent say biting cold is the worst thing about Christmas, the demands of relatives on our potential riding time ranks second in our festive hates.

When we do get out for a ride 66% of us will be worrying about the number of drink-drivers we might be confronted by, says Bennetts.

The survey also revealed that the gift most of us want this year is a track. A new bike and a new lid came in third and second.
