Bargain chart toppers

Yamaha’s stonking R1 topped the sales charts in the UK for 2004 selling over 700 more that the Fireblade.

But if you don’t want to pay the full asking price of well over eight grand there are plenty of really good used bargains to be had in our bikes for sale section.

This 2004 bike has only done 2600 miles but can be yours for just £7350. It comes with a Cat 1 alarm as well, so getting insurance should be a little less painfull. You’ll also get a seat cowl and paddock stands thrown in.

This 2003 bike won’t get you the underseat pipe but is still a cracking bike and at £6199 it’s a lot cheaper to buy. Still only has 1500 miles on it as well.

If a complete bargain is what you’re after then this 1999 R1 is up for just £4350 with only 12,500 miles on the clock. It also comes with Ohlins damper, Quill end can plus the original, braided hoses, crash bobbins, double bubble screen, and an insurance approved immobiliser.

The Honda Fireblade was the second best selling sports bike behind the R1 last year and this 2004 bike could be yours for £7395 with just 3000 miles on it.

If you’d prefer a Suzuki then this 04 GSX-R1000 is an absolute bargain at £6499. It has only done 3600 miles and comes with a whole host of extras including a can and alarm.

If hard edged extreme performance is what you want then the Kawasaki ZX-10R is for you and this 04 bike is just £7500 with 3500 miles on the clock in totally standard condition.
