Bike parade record bid

An attempt for the ‘longest or largest motorcycle parade’ in the world will take place at the Negros Oriental Buglasan festival in the Philippines later this year.

The festival runs from October 12-23 in Dumaguete City, and organisers are including the parade to reinforce the city’s reputation as ‘Motorcycle capital of the Philippines’, as well as landing a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Each participant will receive a flaglet issued in sequence to keep as a souvenir, and prizes will be given to the oldest, youngest, and heaviest riders, and the biggest and most colorful groups.

If you’re planning to take a trip and join in, motorcycles will need to be registered at the Provincial Tourism Office.
