Riders flood ferry

This year’s North West 200 races in Northern Ireland provided a record-breaking year for ferry company Stena Line with almost 700 bikes squeezing on to just one of their boats.

The ferry firm, who offered cheap deals to MCN readers at the time, carried almost 2000 riders across the water to watch the races last weekend, but the biggest spectacle came on the return leg

Almost 700 bikes had booked on to the same ferry from Belfast back to the mainland, the biggest number that the ferry company has taken in one go since the North West 200 started.
