Rossi: Man of the Year 2005

1 of 1

The MCN Man of the Year 2005 has been awarded to seven times world champion Valentino Rossi.

This is one of the accolades most riders would love to win, as it’s voted for by readers of MCN.

It has been presented annually since 1955 and previous winners include Barry Sheene, John Surtees, Giacomo Agostini, Geoff Duke, Colin Edwards and James Toseland.

This year was one of the closest ever as readers voted in their thousands for their sporting heroes such as Valentino Rossi, James Toseland, Troy Corser, Gregorio Lavilla, Leon Haslam, Chris Walker and Shane Byrne.

But Rossi was the clear winner, amazing everyone with his tenacity and unbelievable skill to win his seventh world championship.
