EU protest ride: Oct 1

MAG and the BMF have added their support to the MCN protest ride to the European Parliament to help protect the future of biking.

We’re organising a rideout to Brussels (from Calais and back on October 1) to protest against the introduction of new licensing laws that will seriously restrict access to bikes for new riders.

The regulations seem to be designed to cut down on the number of motorcycle accident simply by cutting the number of bikes on the road.

MAGs Director of Public Affairs, Trevor Baird said: “If Governments or non democratic institutions wish to introduce these regulations they should produce evidence justifying these proposals and not bring about extra and unnecessary regulation, in the name of safety.”
