Goodwood deal with MCN

Get £2 off your refreshments bill at the Goodwood Revival this weekend. All you have to do is hand in the barcode from this week’s issue of MCN (out on September 14) at any of the refreshment stands.
The classic racing event is the only one in the world to have a period theme for visitors, cars and all staff, entertainment and amenities. Everyone attending is encouraged to dress in clothing from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, with catering, service vehicles and bands all maintaining the fifties theme.

The exclusive MCN £2 discount at every catering outlet excludes the Oyster bar.
There’s a packed weekend of racing, with the highlight for alll motorcycling fans coming with the Barry Sheene Memorial trophy. The race takes place on both days, for bikes between 1962-1966 from 350cc-500cc.
Already confirmed for the race are Ducati legend and BSB star Paul and Scott Smart, fromer Supersport racer and commentator Jamie Whitham, 500GP world champion Wayne Gardner, and former BSB champion Niall Mackenzie all on Manx Nortons. Colin Seeley will race an Aermachhi 350, while seven-time TT winner Mick Grant will be on a Matchless G50 500. And they’ll all face stiff competition in the shape of MCN’s road tester Michael Neeves, who will race a Norton Domiracer in special one-off MCN leathers for the event.
And many of the bike and car stars, including Neeves, will be preparing for the event at an open practice session at Mallory Park in Leicestershire from 1pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2005.
For those with a shared interest in classic cars, a huge list named drivers includes Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jackie Stewart, Jochen Mass, Gerhard Berger and Johnny Herbert
The Goodwood circuit is near Chichester in West Sussex. Entry is by advance ticket only.

No tickets will be sold on the gate.

Practice begins from 9:20am on Friday, September 15, 2005, with events starting on Saturday and Sunday at 9:30am.
