Knievel sues Kanyevel

Evel Knievel has filed a lawsuit against rapper Kanye West claiming the video for his hit “Touch the Sky” infringes the trademarked Knievel image.

In the video, filmed at the Grand Canyon, Kanye West spoofs Knievel’s Snake River Canyon jump attempt – wearing a star-spangled leather jumpsuit and climbing into a Skycycle-style rocket to jump the Canyon. But Knievel isn’t amused, instead claiming the video infringes his trademark by using Knievel’s image.

Now he wants to stop further broadcasts of the video and win several million dollars in compensation.
