Rock star in charity ride
Rock drummer Mark Richardson will join charity riders for the arduous two-week Enduro Africa event, in aid of Riders for Health. Richardson is the drummer with UK rock group Feeder, and owns a Yamaha Warrior Cruiser and YZ250 motocross machine. He'll swap these for a Yamaha AG200 for the rally, which is the same type of machine used by the health workers the Riders for Health charity supports. Quality bikes for sale: Click here. The entry fee for each participant includes buying the bike they will use, which will be donated to Riders at the end of the rally, along with a contribution for running costs. To prepare, Richardson has booked time at the Yamaha Off-Road Experience, and the California Superbike School. "My friends at J-D Sports and K-Swiss agreed to sponsor my trip, whilst Arai have donated the helmets," said Richardson. Yamaha Music has been brilliant in setting up a pledge site and a promotional plan, and Yamaha Motors have provided my training."
