Sheene Run in July

The annual Sheene Run takes place on July 8-9, 2006 at Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough as part of the Cock o’ the North road races.

The two events have been combined by oraganisers The Auto 66 Club, as the road races already include the Barry Sheene Classic Superbike race, and Sheene had the last Internatioanl win of his professional career at the track.

The Sheene Run itself will include thre-laps of the circuit, led by Mick Grant, Steve parrish and Jamie Whitham, with a special area in the main car park for paraders to assemble and take part in Concours competitions. There will also be the Sheene Parade for race bikes from the Sheene era, and following a full race programme featuring TT riders including Guy Martin, Ian Lougher and Ryan Farquhar there will also be ‘Bazza’s Bash’ entertainment in a marquee at Oliver’s Mount Bikers Village on the Saturday evening.
