He was searching for Yamaha FZ6s and Kawasaki Z750s in Bikes For Sale when he made the click that earned him the cash – he used the ‘contact the dealer’ function to send an email enquiry to Onyerbike in Aylesbury. And he ended up buying an ’05 model FZ6N from them.

Rob Longworth – another of our winners – is using his windfall to ‘do up the garden’. The plan is that Mrs L will be so chuffed she’ll hardly notice when he slips out to buy a Honda CBR1000RR in Repsol colours.

“It was searching for this bike on motorcyclenews.com which won me the £1000 – so it’s only fair to buy it!”, he reasoned.

Dom West struck lucky, too. He was searching our Bikes For Sale section for a new or used Suzuki GSX-R1000 K5/K6 when his winning click sent an inquiry to North City Triumph. The GSX-R1000K1 owner will use the cash to help fund his next purchase. He’s arranging test rides as you read this.

John Black has to pinch himself when he heard he’d won. “My first thoughts were that I read it as a £100 which was really pleasing. Then I reread it and was even more thrilled to see it was £1000!”

John was searching our Bikes For Sale section for a Benelli Tornado Tre when he made the click that earned him the cash. He sent a ‘contact the dealer’ email to Thorne Super Bikes, Thorne, East Yorkshire who were advertising a 2003 Benelli Tornado in green and silver.

But John, 59, admits “I had a look at the bike but I have not bought it. On second thoughts, it is out of my league as a “born again biker.” I’m now looking for a Honda CBR 600F or Yamaha 650 Fazer.
