'Anti-skid' surface causes crash

1 of 3

I have just recently had the displeasure for the first time in over 25years of motorcycling of sliding down the road due to locking up the front wheel & going down, or so i first thought.

On investigation ‘once i had regained my senses’ and established that i had no major injuries ,it became clear that my front end hadn’t locked up and skidded along the roads surface, but in fact stopped revolving on a delaminated section of anti skid material, this acting like a slip matt giving no control over the front end.I feel this is worth making all other riders aware of.
