Sheene's gear stolen

One of Barry Sheene’s famous classic helmets has been stolen as part of a haul by thieves at the weekend.

BSB star Scott Smart’s workshop, which he shared with World sidecar champion Tim Reeves, in Kent was broken into in the early hours of Friday morning.

Also among the items taken in the burglary were World championship certificates and an authentic copy of one of the original helmets used by Bazza in his heyday.

Reeves’ caravan was also stolen, Smart’s motorhome was broken into also.
