Northamptonshire police are warning motorcyclists in and around the Stanion area that the roads are not to be used for high speed riding.

Local residents have complained that they ‘fear for their safety’ as motorcyclists continue to travel at high speed.

Acting Sgt Julie Mead of Northamptonshire police, said that she is aware of website postings claiming that the area is suitable for fast riding.

“Riders should be aware that speed kills and that noise can build up into serious nuisance.”

Sgt Mead, has also said: “Officers will issue section 59 warnings against those thought to be riding or behaving in an anti-social manner.”

“We also have the power to seize the bikes of those who do not comply.”
