Spy chip proposals

These spy chip proposals obviously mean that people can be tracked by these computer systems. If this goes ahead the law will be changed to allow the police to use the elapsed ‘A-to-B’ times between two places to convict you of speeding. That means that 1000s of miles of remote, empty country stretches will oblige you to stick to 60mph when a higher speed is still safe.

Given the government’s woeful track record on IT systems to date, it seems doomed to abuse, failure or misuse; probably all three. I personally would consider leaving the UK when it nudged finally into a Big Brother state with this sinister development. (I’ve had 15 years as a bike mechanic followed by 15 years in IT).
