GSX-R1000K7 recall false alarm

Over half of the owners of 2007 GSX-R1000’s have received notification from Suzuki of a problem on their motorcycle has been printed on the wrong headed paper.

The heading read ‘Urgent Safety Recall’, however the problem is only with the alternator and at worst you’ll get a flat battery if yours is faulty.

According to Suzuki, the letters should have been headed as a “service campaign” rather than a recall.
