Beat motorcycle thieves - move to Galashiels

1 of 1

If you want your motorcycle to be as safe from theft as possible, you might want to avoid living somewhere with a postcode starting with N. And if you’re prepared to go to enormous lengths to protect it, you could do worse than upping sticks and moving to Galashiels.

A survey by leading motorcycle insurance provider Carole Nash has listed North and North West London as the worst two places in the UK in terms of theft risk and Galashiels as the best.

The Carole Nash 2007 theft survey also ranks every major town and city in between, together with how many places each has moved in the chart since last year. Based on nearly a quarter of a million policies, it’s one of the best indicators of bike theft patterns across the UK.
