MAG blasts C-Charge for motorcycles

The Motorcycle Action Group has warned that plans to include motorcyclists in Manchester’s road pricing scheme are the “thin end of the wedge” as more areas are likely to follow suit.

The Group drew attention to Durham and Central London’s road charge, which doesn’t include motorcycles, and called on new transport secretary Ruth Kelly to call a stop the plans.

Trevor Baird, MAG’s director of public affairs, said: “Perhaps she will give Manchester direction in exempting motorcycles in their proposed scheme.”
