Lancashire Tea goes supermoto - No, really

1 of 1

With the 2007 British Supermoto Championship set to kick off this Easter Weekend, Husaberg team Dave Clarke Racing (DCR) has tied up a major sponsorship deal with Lancashire Tea.

Dave said: “We were really pleased when Lancashire Tea said they wanted to work with us this year. We wanted a sponsor who wasn’t already in the bike industry that we could work with and they seemed like a perfect fit.  Like DCR, they are a small, local business who wants to grow, and working with our team can give them exposure to help them do this. There seems to be new sports drinks coming onto the market every day but we thought – why not try something different?  What about tea? Everyone knows that there is loads of tea drunk at race meetings.  There’s nothing better on a wet day at Three Sisters than a nice brew!”

Lynn Hitchen, Company Secretary for Lancashire Tea said: “We were a bit surprised when we were first approached by DCR, but after talking with Paul about this we could see lots of benefits to getting involved.  We are really looking forward to it.”

The two-man Husaberg team will be made up of 2006 NORA Sport 450 and Open Championship Winner Andy Mitchell and the 2006 450 and Open Irish Supermoto Champion Greg Kinsella. Lancashire Tea will be joining Michelin Tyres, Lazer Helmets, Berik, Putoline Motorcycle Oils, Skin Industries, Magura, Regina Chains, WDS Suspension, Spy, Venhill, MTM,  Enigma Signs and Pro-action Suspension as sponsors of DCR in 007.
