Ireland to get lower drink-driving limit

Motorists in the Republic of Ireland could soon be facing lower drink driving limits if a new law is passed early next year.

The current standing of 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood has been proposed to be reduced to 50ml of alcohol, leaving those who have as little as a glass of wine or half a pint of strong beer facing driving bans.
