Superbike parts up for auction

1 of 4

Custom American Superbike series carbon fibre bodywork which has never been available to the public before is being auctioned for charity.

Created by Taylor Made Racing, the £7,000 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade bodywork is the exact same fairing set up as run by AMA Superbike teams in 2008 and is solid carbon and Nomex core.

It is being auctioned to raise money for Czech-born rider Vincent Haskovec who was paralysed from the chest down when he hit a wall during a race in California in May 2005.

This is the second time that Taylor Made has staged an auction for Haskovec. The first two years ago raised £18,000.

This year’s auction is a full fairing set for a 2008 Fireblade including all of TMR’s carbon racing accessories.

The total weight for the fairing set is less than three pounds and includes upper, side panels, enclosed belly pan, air intake tunnels, reinforced tank cover, under seat eliminator, right and left carbon/kevlar crash covers and GP styled rear hugger.

For information about how to bid visit: www.racetaylormade.com. The auction ends on December 17 2008.
