Green means go

I have been riding my Yamaha FZ600 for less than a year and have enjoyed a crashless run thus far (touch wood).

I was sitting at the lights on one of the large roundabouts that make Elephant and Castle a truly inspiring place to sit back and admire.

I had heard that when you are sitting at the lights and they turn green expect to be shunted from behind by a four-wheeled lunatic!

I had barely registered the change when a huge cherokee Jeep rammed the back of my bike and almost snapped my neck.

I turned round hurling expletives that were fortunately drowned out by the mad honking of the traffic behind.

The offender’s response was to shrug his shoulders and drive off. Why is it that it always seems to be the motobikers fault?
