Police at work in Scotland

1 of 2

I took these two pictures of a police car on Sunday 27th July 2008 in the town of Inveraray, while the two bobbies wandered through the town booking parked motorcyclists for small number plates and dodgy cans, in the name of road safety.

The car was there for over an hour and there were lots of tickets dished out. The upshot was plenty of bikers avoiding the town and probably hundreds of quid lost in revenue to the local tourist trade. I’m not a biker but was stunned at the blatant targeting while illegally parked!!

My 14 year old daughter who was with me at the time was all for having a chat with the policemen there, she was more upset than me! Maybe a biker in the making.
