Stars at Brooklands on 20th April

Phil Read and Steve Parrish are due to appear at the Brooklands Motorcycle Centenary Meeting on 20th April.

Phil Read is bringing a 1912 TT-winning Harley-Davidson, a moto Paton and an ex-Mike Hailwood Honda 4. If negotiations with the National Motor Museum come to fruition, Steve Parrish wll ride the Beaulieu ex-Hailwood Honda 6.

The prospect of two such famous riders parading equally famous machines will make the Brooklands Motorcycle Centenary Meeting a unique event in this year’s motorcycling calendar.

Among recent entries for the Meeting is the ex-Derek Minter Norton that was the first single to achieve a 100 mph TT lap. There is also a trio of Triumph and BSA triples and some very aggressive Morgans.

There are also some representatives of post-war British two-stroke racers, an ex-works DOT, a Greeves Silverstone and an Ariel Arrow. The gates open at 8.00 a.m. and the first parade starts at 10.00 a.m.

Admission prices are: Adults £10, Seniors £8, Children 5-16 £5, Family (2 adults, up to 3 children) £25. For further information or details pr@brooklandsmuseum.com
