KTM690SMC gets BOSS boost

BOS exhausts has just released a new lightweight race silencer for the KTM 690SMC Supermoto.

Performance increases are fairly substantial with a weight of just 3.7kg – 23 per cent lighter than the OE fitment – and peak power is up by 2bhp.

More importantly the power delivery from low revs should ensure a more rapid pick-up with claimed improvements of 11.9bhp at 3975rpm!

The silencer kit comes with a specially designed replacement air filter to assist with the power release and the noise level easily qualifies for supermoto racing and trackdays.

It comes in two finish options: ‘shotblast’ stainless steel for £439 and carbon fibre for £529.

With the official KTM Akrapovic racing exhausts always retailing at high costs, these BOS options are a a serious alternative.
