Son of KTM founder dies

Hans Trunkenpolz, the son of the KTM’s founder (also called Hans Trunkenpolz), has died aged 65 after suffering a heart attack while competing in a half-marathon.

He is credited with taking KTM to eight successive victories in the Dakar rally, and was also responsible for discovering motocross champion Heinz Kinigadner.

He died on Sunday August 30 in Altotting, Bavaria.
