Paris Hilton to back 125GP squad

American socialite and tabloid media darling Paris Hilton is to make a dramatic career change in 2011 – as backer of a 125GP team! 

Hilton is scheduled to fly to Europe for the launch of the SuperMartxe VIP by Paris Hilton team in Madrid this weekend (Saturday).

Hilton will back Sergio Gadea and the brilliantly named Maverick Vinales, who is Spanish and European 125cc champion.

Hilton’s involvement keeps some a touch of Hollywood in the Grand Prix paddock following the recently confirmed departure of actor Antonio Banderas.

Banderas backed the Jack & Jones Moto2 squad in 2010 but the team recently announced it was folding because of a lack of financial support, leaving Kenny Noyes and former 125GP world champion without a ride.
