Fans’ favourite Suzi Perry has quit MotoGP on the BBC in what she told MCN was the ‘most agonising decision’ of her life.
After 13 years as the face of motorcycle racing, the 39-year-old will not present the BBC’s MotoGP coverage this season and instead will concentrate on her television career outside bike racing.
Speaking exclusively to MCN just a day after she told the BBC she would not renew her contract to cover the 2010 MotoGP season, Suzi said: “It feels like a part of something has died. That might sounds a little dramatic but that’s how I feel.
"I still love bikes as much today as I did the first day when I walked into a paddock in 1997.”
MCN has got the full and exclusive story of the story behind Suzi’s decision and she wanted MCN readers to be the first to find out as they have given her so much support over the past 13 years.
Find out about Suzi’s favourite racers, top races and the secrets of MotoGP in the February 17 issue of MCN.
