Moto Rumi Sport

As a teenager in the 60’s I rode all over England and from Nottingham to Cornwall (where I now live) on my Italian Moto Rumi scooter a 125 twin twostroke which was rare even then.

I regretfully parted with it a few years later when I married, and never rode again till 2003 when I discovered a newly formed Moto Rumi Club.

I managed to find a wreck on the Internet, had it restored and am once again back on the road. I also own an old small Gilera motorcycle, both machines being 50 years old.

I also discovered that Moto Rumi made motorcycles which were successfully raced in the 60’s. My dream would be to own a Moto Rumi motocycle but they are even rarer than the scooters and probably beyond my means.

They look great and have an amazing sound. To own one would be a dream come true in the autumn of my years.
