R&G's rear shock protector

British protection experts R&G Racing are now offering defence for your shock absorbers.

The Shocktube, new to R&G’s stable this year, is claimed to be impact resistant and waterproof. It’s a simple, vented tube made from 100% bonded Neoprene, and double lined with stretch nylon on both sides.

It works by completely enclosing the rear shock and spring to prevent damage from road salt, water spray, stone chipping, dust and dirt. 

To cope with the most extreme environment and to expel moisture, the Shocktube features six 5mm rustproof eyelets inserted into the neoprene skin at the top, middle and bottom to dissipate heat from the shock.

It’s said to be quick and simple to fit thanks to heavy-duty Velcro and supplied zip ties.

It costs £24.99 for a single rear shock (or front suspension on BMW GSs) and
£44.99 for twin shocks.
