  • TFL ignore bikers again

28 May 2012 by Garry Grant

I've just received a TFL survey for cycle planning in London. In the main body of the survey it asks you to list your use of various methods of transport such as car, bus, overground, underground, DLR, but no mention or choice for motorcycles or scooters. Discrimination yet again? http://www.researchnowsurveys.com/survey/VOP17051210092169CSPP/enter.asp?subsid=1000508&execid=30110

    25 May 2012 by robh45

My 20-year-old son was riding to work on his GN125 in December last year when a bloke in a lovely blue Zafira decided he was sick of waiting to turn right into a junction. He pulled straight into my son and broke his femur, patela, tibia and fibula. He now has metal rods from his hip to his ankle and his kneecap has two screws holding it together. The police were great as were...

  • Police only out to get bikers

    24 May 2012 by stevepotten

I got nicked a couple of years ago by a cop on an unmarked black Fireblade. It was on the A228 West Malling bypass in Kent. There was a recently changed speed limit; it had been unrestricted but was now a 50mph road. I was on a Triumph Speed Triple 1050 and I was travelling at about 60mph. I had seen the Blade from way back and moved well to the left to let him pass as he had been travelling quite...

  • Best road in the world?

    09 May 2012 by terri

As infuriating as some drivers are in the UK, most are careful, considerate and capable in comparison to some foreign countries. Two years ago myself and my wife were touring Egypt. We stayed for a week in Cairo. The main road leading right up to and passing our hotel started a mile or so up the road, at this point there were 13 lanes of traffic. By the time the road passed our...
