Built in Britain custom competition launched

1 of 1

Carole Nash and MCN have launched Built in Britain, the UK’s biggest bike competition to find the nation’s most talented bike builder. Previously known as Britain’s Got Biking Talent, it attracts thousands of customs, cafe racers, streetfighters and classics all vying to win the most coveted award in biking.

Alongside the new name, we’ve also added a new category, the Professional Builders award. This is open to any builder who sells his creations for profit. The top prizes in both the professional and amateur classes are a fantastic £1100 Draper Expert toolkit plus £1000 in cash!

Entering couldn’t be easier. Simply visit www.mcnbuiltinbritain.co.uk from August 1 where you can upload images of your bike and place it in one of the six listed categories.

This is a competition for ALL types of bike so if you’ve just completed a nut-and-bolt restoration of a Bonnie or fitted a supercharger to your ZX-10R, you’re in with a chance!

Categories are: Sports & sports modified, Classics, Choppers & Customs, Streetfighters, Concours & Restored plus the new Pro builder category.

When all the entries are in, a panel of expert judges will choose the 50 top bikes. If your bike, or your favourite entry, doesn’t make the cut, don’t worry, the public will have a chance to vote another 10 bikes through on the  Carole Nash Insidebikes Facebook page.

The public will then be asked to pick a favourite from each category (six votes overall). The 12 bikes that receive the most public votes will make the final and be professionally photographed for the prestigious 2013 Carole Nash calendar that will be handed out at the NEC show in November.

The bikes will be displayed at the show and voting will start for the overall winners.

The finalists will then be at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show next February where the winners will be announced.
