Police only out to get bikers

I got nicked a couple of years ago by a cop on an unmarked black Fireblade. It was on the A228 West Malling bypass in Kent.

There was a recently changed speed limit; it had been unrestricted but was now a 50mph road. I was on a Triumph Speed Triple 1050 and I was travelling at about 60mph.

I had seen the Blade from way back and moved well to the left to let him pass as he had been travelling quite fast, but he slowed up and kept behind me about 20 yards.

I started to get suspicious, but then an Audi overtook the pair of us at a fair rate of knots. The Blade didn’t take off after him so I assumed all was well.

A few moments later a Police BMW bike came into view, so I gently eased back to 50mph. He signalled me to stop, which I did and the Fireblade overtook us and disappeared off into the distance.

The Police biker gave me the usual “do you know why I stopped you” routine when to my suprise the guy on the Fireblade returned and I was informed by the uniformed cop that this was his colleague and he had clocked me for speeding!

It was obviously a complete waste of time pointing out the speeding Audi that overtook the pair of us as he was obviously out to get bikers.
