Öhlins target small bikes

Swedish firm Öhlins have launched a new range of suspension upgrade kits for the Yamaha MT-07, XSR700 and YZF-R3, as well as Honda’s CBR250R, and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.

Further kits will also be available for the Dyna and Sportser range of Harley-Davidsons and the Ducati Scrambler, while the firm have also added a new ‘intelligent’ steering damper for the Yamaha YZF-R1M to their range.

Öhlins intend the Road and Track NIX22 kits to be an affordable option to improve the suspension of bikes that aren’t trackday focused, but can be improved for everyday road riding. The fork kits are also joined by a new STX46 rear shock, pitched at the same class of bikes.

The Öhlins Smart EC steering damper for the R1M plugs into the bike’s Suspension Control Unit (SCU) to make changes in damping based on speed and acceleration parameters.
