Bike of the Day: Suzuki TL1000R

1 of 1

The TL1000R was Suzuki's response to the V-twin domination by Honda (with their SP1/SP2) and Ducati (with their 916/996) in superbike race classes, but it was a little too late, and it never raced in WSB.

Despite this, it's become a bit of a cult icon. Using the strong motor from the popular and infamous TL1000S means it has huge amounts of torque, making the front end a little light. The ride can best be described as exciting.

Prices are starting to creep up a little now, especially for unmolested and unabused examples, of which there are few. This one's only covered 12,000 miles and offers good value with all the extras.
